Naaz Modan
Senior Reporter | @NaazModanNaaz stumbled into journalism as a middle school student, when she reluctantly joined her school paper. Nearly two decades later, she covers the U.S. Department of Education and K-12 litigation, with a special focus on civil rights and equity and policy issues, as a senior reporter for K-12 Dive. She has received multiple national awards, including top Azbee and Jesse H. Neal awards for her project investigating the impact on students when schools fumble their Title IX responsibilities. In her free time, Naaz enjoys knitting, having a black thumb and telling her toddler to not drink the bathwater.
