Roger began freelancing for what was then Education Dive shortly after its launch in 2012. He became the publication’s first full-time editor in 2013 and oversaw the launch of what is now K-12 Dive in February 2014. Since then, he has helped guide daily coverage, as well as K-12 Dive’s ongoing “Lessons In Leadership” Q&A series and the production of features and packages that have won numerous Azbee and Jesse H. Neal awards. Roger contributed one part to the 2025 Azbee Award-winning package “Education Extortion.”
