- Several defendents in Atlanta's school cheating scandal are expected to turn themselves in to authorities Tuesday, with the first two--former Kennedy Middle School improvement specialist Tameka Goodson and former Usher Collier Heights Elementary testing coordinator Donald Bullock--already doing so in the early morning hours.
- Last week, 35 Atlantat school system educators were named in a 65-count indictment that alleged a conspiracy to improve test scores via cheating, concealing cheating and retaliating against whistleblowers that stretched all the way up to former Superintendent Beverly Hall.
- Tuesday is the deadline set by prosecutors for all 35 defendants to surrender themselves.
