- Superintendent Richard Como and athletics director Jim Donato of Pennsylvania's Coatesville Area School District resigned suddenly at the end of August after alleged racist text messages between the two were leaked.
- The texts were sent from school-issued phones in June and discovered by a district employee who was transferring data from one to the other, and a leaked transcript [WARNING: Strong racial language] was published last week by the West Chester Daily Local News.
- Prior to the beginning of a criminal investigation, the school district was reportedly going to allow the two to keep their jobs.
The fact that these two sent these kinds of messages to begin with is bad enough. That the district was initially going to allow them to keep their jobs, though? Perhaps Como and Donato aren't the only ones who should be resigning.
