- In a bid to reach government leaders and make its training available to the public, the International Monetary Fund is joining forces with edX.
- The partnership is the first between the MOOC platform and an international government organization.
- Over the next few months, two pilot courses--"Financial Programming and Policies" and "Debt Sustainability Analysis"--will be introduced for small groups of government officials before opening to the general public in 2014.
