- Andrew Morrison has been named new CEO of Teachscape, a company that helps teachers incorporate research-based best practices into their instruction.
- Morrison is the former CEO of Hooked on Phonics and Reading Rainbow owner Smarterville, Inc., as well as Cognitive Concepts, Inc., of which he was also the founder.
- Former CEO Kathy Yates will now serve as chairwoman of the company's board of directors, as well as chief client services officer. Both appointments are meant to improve focus on client service and satisfaction, innovation, and growth.
Morrison brings an impressive resume that should serve the company well as an increasing amount of competition pops up to provide professional resources and tools to educators who are dealing with increasingly digital classrooms. Aside from his time at Cognitive Concepts and Smarterville, he also created Earobics and is a former president of Class.com and Lincoln National Academy, as well as an advisor to numerous other education companies.
