Dive Brief:
- The Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) has released two resources school leaders can turn to for hints on successful digital integration on their campuses.
- The "A Recipe for Success” video guide and “What is Digital Transformation” infographic were created under the organization's Leadership for Mobile Learning (LML) initiative.
- The video breaks down with a checklist the best digital practices that are in place in successful districts; the graphic explains what "digital transformation" should look like in these five domains: student outcomes, educator outcomes, culture, infrastructure and the role of information technology.
Dive Insight:
As districts are interested in becoming more digitally connected they should consider their goals and reasons for making this jump.
In an interview with Education Dive, Jen Medbery of Kickboard, explained that before making large tech gear purchases, schools need to ask of their goals: "How do I want to intentionally use technology to help us get there?"
The LML initiative and produced materials—such as this video and infographic—are free. They are created with financial backing from Amplify, BestBuy, C.
