No superintendent or principal is an island — and K-12 Dive wants to share the stories of the exemplary assistant principals and district leaders helping to support the nation’s schools in our sixth annual Rising Leaders spotlight.
Do you know an assistant principal who has gone above and beyond in building positive school culture or driving academic achievement? Do you work with an assistant superintendent who thinks outside of the box on educational innovation or boosting enrollment and attendance? We want to hear about them.
K-12 Dive will collect nominations through June 8. And then later in the summer, we’ll unveil the five assistant principals and five assistant superintendents selected for the 2026-27 class of K-12 Dive Rising Leaders. We’re looking forward to highlighting their successes.
Since we know titles can vary by school or district, consider nominating worthy candidates with titles like these:
- Assistant principal.
- Associate principal.
- Vice principal.
- Assistant superintendent.
- Associate superintendent.
- Chief information officer.
- Chief technology officer.
- Chief communications officer.
- Director of student services.
- Director of special education.
- Director of curriculum.
- Chief academic officer.
- Director of facilities.
