• The New York Department of Education is looking into the disappearance of a 17-year old student from Harlem High School for Math, Science and Engineering.  
• After Omotayo Adeoye's teacher accused her of cheating on a German exam with a cell phone, she reportedly wrote a suicide note on the back of the test and asked to be excused to go to the restroom, after which she was spotted wading into the Hudson River.
• According to ABC 7, it appears the high school junior was feeling pressure from school and committed suicide, but until New York police find her body, she is still being considered a missing person.

The idea that a child would commit suicide mid-exam because of school pressure is likely to be used by many opposing the current state of American schools. The story also raises questions on school security and how or why a student was able to just walk out of school.
