- Knewton on Thursday announced a partnership with Europe's Gutenberg Technology, an end-to-end digital publishing platform, to create adaptive learning ebooks.
- Gutenberg works with publishers to develop and distribute interactive course materials for Apple, Android and Windows devices, and the partnership will give those publishers access to Knewton's adaptive learning features with no additional technical work required.
- The first publisher to benefit from the partnership will be France's Lelivrescolaire, which will incorporate Knewton's personalization into its French grammar application for middle school students.
This partnership caps what has been a big year for Knewton, which also recently partnered with Cambridge University Press. Earlier in the year, the adaptive learning startup also forged partnerships with publishers Pearson and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, as well as institutions like Arizona State University.
