Thursday, August 9, 2012 Kentucky's public high school graduation rates are up slightly. The state Department of Education says the rate for the 2010-11 school year was 78 percent, up from 76.7 percent the previous year. The 2010-11 figures are the latest available. There were similar increases in rates for male, female, white and African-American students. The rate for Hispanic students, however, jumped to 83.6 percent from 74.7 percent in 2009-10.
