Payne, director of the Office of Special Education Services for the South Carolina Department of Education told eSchool News. "This minimizes duplication of effort and saves money and time."

As more states move towards SIS and LMS platforms for the collection of large scale data, it makes sense for the trend to narrow and focus on niche groups.
