The Education Knowledge Broker Network presents Shaping the Future of Knowledge Brokering, to be held February 24-26, 2026, 1:00-5:00 pm ET on Zoom Events. This virtual gathering brings together educators, researchers, intermediaries, organizational leaders, policy partners, and anyone interested in the field of education knowledge brokering, a process connecting evidence, practice, and policy to improve outcomes across educational systems.
Unlike a traditional conference, the EKBN Forum is designed as a unique community-building experience. Participants will attend interactive sessions focused on practical tools, frameworks, and strategies, as well as engage in conversations about the promise and challenges of knowledge brokering in education. The forum is a space for knowledge brokers to connect with one another, share experiences, and deepen their professional identities.
The 2026 forum features an impressive lineup of national leaders whose work reflects the diversity of knowledge brokering:
February 24
Vivian Tseng, Ph.D., President & CEO, Foundation for Child Development, will open the forum by describing knowledge brokering in this moment and how knowledge brokers can navigate challenging times together.
February 25
Sonn Sam, Ed.D., National Director of Partnerships at Big Picture Learning, will share insights for knowledge brokers from his work with interest-driven, real-world learning in schools and communities around the globe.
February 26
Tanner Jackson, Ph.D., Head of AI Products, ETS, will explore how knowledge brokers can stay indispensable by mastering AI Literacy, leveraging data to create actionable intelligence, and building networks that amplify expertise.
Sessions, panels, and presentations are designed to offer practical tools, develop new skills, and provide opportunities for conversations with others who are doing similar work.
“Our forum is for anyone who wants to improve the use of evidence in education, whether you consider yourself an experienced knowledge broker or are just beginning to explore,” said Katie Philp, EKBN Director. “If you want to connect practice and research, build partnerships, or support evidence-informed decision making, there’s something for you at EKBN.”
