Paper, a personalized learning platform that empowers all students, today announced its GROW High-Impact Tutoring (HIT) will be available for implementation across all school districts nationwide in time for back to school.
Built following research-supported methodologies, Paper’s GROW tutoring model offers outcomes-based contracts, backed by a three-point success guarantee:
- Academic achievement: Data-driven to ensure outcomes.
- Guaranteed staffing: Highly-trained, reliable tutors.
- Standards aligned: Customized to curriculum and pacing.
GROW, short for Guided Results-Oriented Weekly High-Impact Tutoring, has been designed to address the critical gap for students in need of supplemental or intensive interventions.
“In listening to the needs of superintendents, and spending time in schools and classes across the country, it became increasingly clear that while Paper excels in supporting self-motivated learners with our on-demand tools, specialized resources were needed to help students requiring a more structured approach,” said Philip Cutler, founder and CEO of Paper. “GROW is our response to this challenge, tailored to uplift students who can benefit most from high-impact, structured tutoring.”
The company conducted research and GROW pilot launches in districts like Harnett County Public Schools in North Carolina, which has partnered with Paper for two years, providing access to 24/7 tutoring, writing, and practice tools.
Dr. Fleming, Superintendent of Harnett County Schools, commented, "Here in Harnett County, like a lot of school districts, we’re struggling with staffing and struggling with finding actual humans to come into the school, and so by being able to [implement GROW with Paper], we’re able to provide this service to students in the classroom and impact more students."
Jen Black, Principal of Harnett Central Middle School, spoke about the importance of building confidence in students through the GROW program. Watch her interview here. Confidence is one of the metrics the program tracks along with growth on assessments, student attendance, and more.
GROW's model is designed to integrate seamlessly into districts' existing Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), offering customization to align with state standards and curriculum. The program offers one-on-one or small group tutoring with a consistent tutor throughout the duration and specializes in supporting multilingual learners and English learners. Paper has already been approved in many states, including Arkansas, Colorado, Michigan, Mississippi, and New Jersey.
