Literacy is among the most critical areas of academic concern amid the COVID-19 pandemic's ongoing impacts on students. 

For learners impacted by the digital divide, the transition to remote learning in spring 2020 hindered access not just to lessons, but to school libraries and digital reading material, as well. And the impact could be most profound for the youngest learners, whose future academic success can typically be predicted by the ability to read at-level by 3rd grade.
